i got button problem........

I get up to the fishing part at the beginning and none of my minus, plus or home buttons work.

-Ive tried resetting the game
- Ive tried unplug the wii
- Ive tested on other games and these buttons still work for them.

Maybe for that part of the game you aren't supposed to use them. Idk if that's true because I only own the GC version of TP.

Are you saying that when you get to the fishing area you can't select your fishing pole, or are you saying that once you get the fishing pole you can't select it. If it is the first, then simply leave that area and set the pole to B. If that doesn't work, then just randomly run around and repeatedly press the buttons. It might work.
