and Yes MS stole the patent as well...

and let's not forget that Sony lost a 128 Million lawsuit for the rumble in the PS2 controller...

every company steals, they just hope they don't get caught
Um....yes....I said, "or left it out for some reason" which you just told us.

I don't understand, to infringe would mean that Nintendo copied the same exact design of someone else's controller. I haven't seen a controller that has the same exact design as Nintendo's Gamecube or Classic. So I guess what I'm trying to say is why is Nintendo being sued for copying something that isn't even there to begin with because I read the links and even though this small company states that they have a controller that Nintendo "copied" then how come I didn't see any pics of the controller or the patent?

It's not a patent about the complete appearance of the controller. It could just be the joy stick design or a chip that Nintendo used that was patented for use in a controller for the other company only.

So ur basically telling me that if you're a big company like Nintendo you have to get a patent (or the rights to) for every single little thing and not just the contoller as a whole? God what has this world come to. Think about it this dosen't just happen to Nintendo but to all major companies. Its a bunch of selfish people trying to make it big by sueing for any possible thing that they can find.

Well, all i can say is taht it was not good ofr nintendo and MS to steal the patent but in order for them to do anyhting with there new controllers there are going to have to do something with the patents. i wonder if it is more to buy the patent's rights or to lose the lawsuit?

You know now that I think about it what if it just so happened that Microsoft and Nintendo had the same idea and just put it into practical use and never copied this company. Yet this company claims that they copied their design. Another thing to take into consideration is that who has even heard of this small gaming company so could Nintendo and Microsoft of copied something unknowingly?
